PRESS RELEASE
The 800 square metres of surface area covered by solar panels allows total autonomy for the production departments. A further step in the company’s path of sustainability
Capriano del Colle (BS), March 2023 – IMG, a leader in the sector of injection moulding presses for elastomers and thermosets in Italy, has just completed the installation of a photovoltaic system, which will go into operation in June. The area involved is 800 square metres, on which 385 modules have been positioned for an estimated power output of 155 kWp. The energy autonomy that the system allows is 100% in the production departments, with an estimated avoided emission of 45tonnes of CO2.
“IMG continues on its path towards clean and renewable energy, consistent with the European Green Deal and the UN 2030 Agenda,” says Barbara Ulcelli, CEO of IMG. “This new goal is part of a broader approach to industrial sustainability, which obviously includes environmental sustainability.”
Commitment to sustainability has long been a priority for IMG. The investment in the new photovoltaic plant is a further step in the CSR path of the company, which this year will also adopt its first Sustainability Report.
