Injection moulding machine with a clamping unit consisting of an ‘upside-down piston’, applying a force of 300 tons and FIFO injection unit (First in – first out). This type of clamping unit guarantees a saving in lead times of around 30% on the total machine closing/opening phase, increasing the machine’s responsiveness and ensuring a significant reduction in energy consumption.
On a mechanical level, the unit is relieved of the mould height adjustment elements and fixed platen shifters are eliminated. In addition, the model can be equipped with servo-assisted motors (pressure/flow feedback) for the principal movements and the option of a second servo-pump unit for overlapping auxiliary movements.
The machine, when equipped with the hopper accessory, can also mould using solid silicone as raw material. It is also possible to make a version for LSR (liquid silicone) by providing the machine with the two necessary pumps A and B.
As with all IMG vertical machines, there is the possibility of having ejectors on both the fixed table and the moving table to facilitate manual extraction of the final product by the operator. There is also the possibility to install a third plate on the machine to increase productivity.
Advantages
- Great compactness to maximise space utilisation.
- On our vertical machines we provide the “shifter system”, which allows very flexible mould height adjustment.
- Upside-down piston closing system.
